What exactly does Celebrate You Foundation do?

Celebrate You Foundation offers any child age 1-21 with an open case in Washington State a free celebratory treat for their birthday that we call a Birthday bundle. Once a month there is a community gathering that we call a Birthday Bash for children who share that birthday month. This is a unique opportunity for birth, foster, and extended families can come together in a neutral space to celebrate their loved one. Foster children and their guests will decorate their very own cupcakes that they can eat or take-home.

Who is eligible for your services?

To be eligible for our services children must:

• Be between the age of 1 year to 21* years

• Be currently living in a licensed foster care home approved by the State of Washington, or Be in relative placement approved by the State of Washington Department of Social and Health Services

• Have an open case with the Department of Children Youth and Families

• Reside in or be based out of Pierce County ​
  
  *Youth age 18-21 must be in the extended foster care program.

Is there a cost?

There is no cost to foster families or birth families. Celebrate You Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Washington State non profit and is able to provide services for kiddos using monetary and in-kind donations. CYF is also a vendor with Washington State and bills the state for some services we provide.

What cities do you serve?

We currently serve you that are based out of Pierce County. Youth may be placed in a home outside of Pierce County. Check back as we expand our services across the state.

Can I bring my non-fostered children, too?

Birth families can bring their children to our Birthday Bash. Please list the name and age of the children in the corresponding space on the registration form.

Where do the cakes and cards come from?

Our sweet treats are graciously donated to CYF from a local bakery Life is What You Bake It. If you choose to place order a personal with them, a portion of the proceeds are donate to CYF. The cards are created using a Cricut machine by staff at CYF.

Can the treats be customized?

Each treat is generously donated by our sponsor Life Is What You Bake It and are currently not customizable at this time.

Do you offer alternative desserts for children with food allergies?

At this time we do not offer any sweet treats with any dietary needs. Children with dietary needs are still more than welcome to come to the monthly Birthday Bash and participate in the other activities we offer.

I signed up for a Birthday Bash. What happens next?

A Birthday Bash is a free monthly celebration for foster youth with a birthday in that month. After we have received a completed registration form, you will receive a confirmation email with confirming the attendees and with links to purchase add-ons. You may be contacted by your social worker to verify the service as we bill the state for some services we offer.

What add-on's are available?

Every Birthday Bash reservation comes with ONE DOZEN cupcakes and enough sprinkles and frosting to decorate each one. In the event that more than 12 guests in your party want to decorate cupcakes, more can be purchased by the dozen to meet the needs of your party. You will need to specify the amount and an invoice will be sent to the email on file. Invoices must be paid at least 24 hours before the event.

Each registered guest will receive 1 complimentary ticket for ONE popcorn and ONE cotton candy. Additional tickets can be purchased for $.50 a piece ahead of time or during the event.

I signed up for a Birthday Bundle. What happens next?

A Birthday Bundle provides children with a free personalized card and your choice between one dozen cake pops, a 6 inch cake, or one dozen cupcakes. After we have received a completed request for, you will receive a confirmation email with the pick-up address and time. We do not deliver and all Birthday Bundles MUST be picked up from CYF. We request at least 5 business to process orders and all pieces are personalized. Requests that are received in 5 days or less of the request date are not guaranteed to be fulfilled. You may be contacted by your social worker to verify the service as we bill the state for some services we offer.
